If you become employed by a long-term care facility within one year of completing your CNA training that the nursing home is required by state law to reimburse your training cost and testing expense.

- To register for the skills exam:
- Create a candidate ID using a credentials website (https://credentia.com/test-takers/wa/) and save the number.
- Option A: Register with your training program, NAT-Healthcare Academy
- Option B: Register through WABON’s new online scheduling if you prefer to take the test at a different school.
- You need your NAC credential number and your credentia candidate ID to take the competency exams. To find your CNA credential number, use the “Provider Credential Search” tool on the Department of Health website. Provider Credential Search
- On your exam day, you need to bring two forms of Identification and your completion Certificate
- After you complete your skills exam, please complete your Credentia 365 application.
- When you fill out your written exam application on Credentia, please make sure that you enter your NAC credential number correctly. Mistakes can cause major delays in processing your credential.
- Log in to Create a Credentia365 account and verify your email address.
- Select your training program and Course Completion Date (from your Certificate of Completion)
- Your Credentia application will show pending until your school approves. Please get in touch with your school if it is still pending after 24 hours.
- After registration:
- Log in to your Credentia365 account
- Review Preparing for an Online Exam for the equipment and space needed. (If you do not have a laptop/desktop to use at home, please go to the local libraries, which have laptops and rooms you can book
- After the exam is booked, run the system check before your exam day https://credentia.com/system-check/#/
- After you pass both the written and skills exams, submit your report card and completion certificate to the Department of Health to get your license.
- Overall cost of the nursing assistant exam:
- The skills test fee will be $100.
- The written test fee will be $55.
- Fee for NAC $85 plus $2.50 if done online.
